An obligatory stop on the Roman Surrealist path
Before leaving Catalonia, one is obiged to stop at the “Fondation of Art Rachdingue’, which is a pilgrimage into the very heart of surrealism and the sources of it’s evolution. In the influence of Figueras which todays regards its Masters, the painter SALVADOR DALI with even more deep respect, Miette presents a collection, which is a moving expression of an unfailing friendship with this exceptional creator, Dali opened and patronised “LE RACHDINGUE’ in 1968, putting and drawing his name to the walls. The international press inaugurated the launching of the perfume S. Dali, here in march 1986. Numerous traces of a remarkable history are preserved in the walls of this predestined building : the Clédalisme, secret museum, “woman with drawers ‘ (the memory). LA MIETTE’ of the Bread Dalinian.

Its original name “LE RACHDINGUE’ is the title of a book written by a friend, the writer Henri François REY, an hommage designating this place as a ground where the intelligentia.
